Warranty Terms
Residential Storage Batteries
Standard warranty: five years. Under standard operating conditions at 25°C, capacity retention is at least 70% of initial capacity within five years, subject to the agreed cycle count or total energy throughput, whichever limit is reached first.
Commercial & Industrial Storage
The complete system carries a five-year standard warranty. The PCS, combiner cabinet and liquid-cooling unit carry a two-year warranty. Capacity retention is at least 70% during the performance warranty period; the performance warranty ends when the agreed cycle count or throughput limit is reached.
Utility-Scale Storage Plants
The standard cell performance warranty is five years, with 10–15 years available for certain projects. System hardware carries a five-year warranty. The warranty start date is determined by project acceptance or factory shipment plus a six-month storage allowance, as specified in the applicable agreement.
What Is Covered
- Manufacturing defects in cells, BMS and battery modules, including material and workmanship defects.
- Capacity falling below the contractually agreed level when the equipment is correctly installed and operated within its rated conditions.
- Free repair or replacement of eligible modules or cells during the warranty period, generally including parts.
- Remote monitoring, remote fault diagnosis and over-the-air software updates.
Exclusions
The following are excluded from warranty coverage and are subject to paid service:
- Unauthorized disassembly, modification or BMS replacement by unqualified personnel; incorrect wiring or reverse polarity.
- Operation outside equipment specifications, including excessive temperature, overcharging, overdischarging or overcurrent; immersion; or lightning damage where compliant lightning protection was not installed.
- Failure to follow maintenance requirements, including prolonged storage at low state of charge, missed annual inspections, or unresolved cooling and air-conditioning faults.
- External damage from impact, external fire, earthquakes, flooding or other force majeure events.
- Consumables such as filters, seals, refrigerant and fire-suppression agents.
- Consequential damage caused by third-party integration or non-original parts.
- Use outside the rated application, such as operating a residential battery for high-frequency commercial energy arbitrage.
Service Response
- 24/7 after-sales hotline and remote diagnosis.
- Routine faults are assessed through remote troubleshooting.
- Major safety faults, including battery alarms and thermal risks, may require an on-site engineer. Travel expenses are agreed by both parties.
- Service prioritizes remote diagnosis and replacement of faulty modules to minimize downtime and avoid returning the entire cabinet. If repair is not possible, the complete unit is replaced.
- After the warranty expires, repair remains available at cost for the product's service life, with charges for parts and on-site labor.
Product-specific contracts and agreed technical documents determine the applicable warranty terms.
